The Heart of the Man

“What’s the point?” The question nags at him all the time. Approaching 40 years old, it’s always been there either gnawing in the background or front and center in his face. It makes him feel like crap. Push it away. Tell the story that he has “a good life” and indulge in something to quiet down the nagging. And he does have a good life. And the question persists. Something is calling him. Like a dream. Something speaking in code. It’s challenging and it wants to be loved and heard. But there are plenty of words and ways to drown it out, push it down, drive it back. It’s seen as a “threat,” nonsense, unanswerable. Not so. The Heart of the Man is calling him – calling him to become.
